Dear Students, Faculty and Staff,

The Office of Student Life & Engagement is proud to announce an expanded awards program for our student leaders, clubs and supportive members of the faculty and staff.  The Leadership & Involvement Awards recognize the leaders, programs and events that make the University of South Florida St. Petersburg a better place for all of us.  

The awards will be presented at the Leadership & Involvement Awards Ceremony that will be held on Wednesday, April 16 in the Campus Activities Center. The following awards will be presented:

• Student Leader of the Year
• Outstanding Organization of the Year
• Student Organization Advisor of the Year
• Emerging Leader
• Outstanding New Student Organization
• Outstanding Program of the Year
• Diversity Program Award
• Unsung Hero Award – awarded to a student and an employee

The following awards are being sponsored by the Center for Civic engagement::

• Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Civic Engagement – Student Organization (.pdf)

In addition to these awards, some organizations will be presenting individual award to their members.

Once completed, please print, sign as necessary and submit to the Office of Student Life & Engagement in the Campus Activities Center, Room 127.  The deadline for submission is 4:00 pm on Friday, March 28, 2008.

I am very excited about these awards and am confident that we will receive many nominations of worthy recipients.  I ask that you share this information with your classes, organizations you work with, office staffs, etc.  I also hope that you will nominate someone for an award.  All finalists will be invited to attend and the ceremony will be followed by a reception.
