Introduction
Congratulations on your admission to the University of South Florida St. Petersburg. As part of our efforts to provide you with continuously improving services, our Office of Admissions and Records has developed this comprehensive set of links that you will find useful as you prepare for your first term.

b. Orientation
- Orientation is mandatory for all first time in college (FTIC) students. At orientation you will learn about a variety of process and procedures, and you will have an opportunity to meet with your academic advisors

d. Financial Aid
- Apply for federal, state, and USF based aid through the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The USF St. Petersburg school code is 001537. Many types of aid are based on early application, so apply prior to March 1st of every year for consideration of the most aid available. Estimated tax information can be used to complete the form early.

2.1 Update email address to receive email notifications from the Office of Financial Aid, Veterans Services, and Scholarships.
2.2 Outstanding requirements to process your financial aid file will be posted under “My Requirements, Bookstore Authorizations and Deferments”. Check regularly.

f. Financial Aid
- International students generally are not eligible for federal aid unless you are:
1.1 A permanent U.S. resident with a Permanent Resident Card (I-551);
1.2 A conditional permanent resident (I-551C); or
1.3 The holder of an Arrival-Departure Record (I-94) from the Department of Homeland Security showing any of the following designations: “Refugee,” “Asylum Granted,” “Parolee (I-94 confirms paroled for a minimum of one year and status has not expired), “Victim of human trafficking, “T-Visa holder (T-1, T-2, T-3, etc.) or “Cuban-Haitian Entrant.”
- If your status is mentioned above, then please apply for federal aid through the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)). USF St. Petersburg’s school code is 001537.
